I am a travel geek! When I am not traveling, I am planning my next trip, reliving past trips or dreaming about where to go next. In other words, I live and breath travel and adventure. The world is infinitely fascinating and exciting and I want to share my love of travel by getting you out into it to explore, learn and just have FUN.
In 2008, my husband and I dropped everything and moved to Uruguay with our three cats just to experience immersing ourselves in a totally different place and culture. We didn’t know anyone there and had next to zero connections. Our two years in that peaceful, bucolic country were full of adventure and learning. While I don’t advise you to jump into the unknown quite that abruptly, I do want to help you joyfully explore this amazing planet of ours. When you book travel with me, you will have the safety net of a thoughtfully planned, carefully organized itinerary tailored to your values and desires, plus the knowledge that someone back home is there when needed to smooth out any unexpected bumps that may arise. In other words – I will get you launched, be there with you in spirit, and make sure you have a flawless vacation experience.
My role: I work with you to understand what you want to get out of your trip, research and plan the nitty-gritty details, cheer you on along the way, be available to fix any issues that might pop up, and welcome you back home after your fabulous experience. I can even help you whet your travel appetite pre-trip by recommending reading, films and cultural experiences to get you “geeked-out” on your destination long before you arrive. I find that anticipating travel in this way not only is fun and educational, but essentially prolongs the enjoyment of the trip by kind of stretching it out on the front end.
Your role: No need to sweat the details, I’ve got you covered. Think big! Want a bucket list adventure? I’ll get you on your way to experiences you perhaps only have dreamed about. If you can dream it, we can do it. I also know how important it is to rest and recharge. If you are burnt out or just want to get away for some much needed rest and relaxation – we can do that too.
I have traveled to thirty countries, so far, and hope to expand that number. However, there are a few places I return to again and again because they have grabbed my heart. Greece is one of those places. I try to travel there every year and have fallen so utterly in love with it that I have taken on a serious study of Greek. Mallorca is also a place I have returned to several times, mainly for the amazing, world-class cycling. And of course, Uruguay and her much larger neighbor, Argentina are areas I know well.
Whether you just got your passport or are a seasoned traveler, come explore with me!
